As with everything in life, you get
what you pay for. If the apartment you have found seems too cheap,
beware...ask the right questions...do your homework. The majority of
Parisian apartments, in buildings erected in the days of Napoleon
and Baron Haussman, do not have a lift. Do you feel like
climbing up to the 5th floor several times a day, carrying your
shopping and misfortune?
Check out the size of the bedrooms.
Often the bed will barely fit in the allocated cubicle, and you
won't even have room to change your mind. Have a good look at the
folding sofa. Some are so hard and basic that the crossbars will
leave your back worse than the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
